This chair was designed in 1917 by Gerrit Rietveld, the same architect who designed
Schröder house. I forget to mention that Gerrit Rietveld was one of the member of 'De Stijl' movement. De Stijl movement was a dutch artistic movement founded in 1917. De Stijl proposed simplicity & abstraction, using straight & vertical lines, and planes.
Its color limited to red, yellow, blue, white, black, and grey.
This chair was painted red, blue, black, and yellow. He used straight horizontal and vertical lines and planesl like Schröder house.
